A little about me....
My passion for psychology began in my first college psychology course, where I became deeply interested in both human behavior and the brain’s ability to adapt, heal, and change. That early curiosity grew into a lifelong commitment to understanding how people move through struggle, develop resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives.
Over the course of my career, I have worked in a variety of settings, including adolescent residential care, nursing facilities, school counseling, and community mental health. These experiences allowed me to work with individuals across the lifespan—from children to older adults—and shaped my clinical understanding of trauma, emotional regulation, behavioral challenges, and life transitions.
Through this work, I developed a strong appreciation for the complexity of people’s experiences and the importance of creating a therapeutic space where individuals feel safe, understood, and supported without judgment.
Outside of my professional work, my most meaningful role has been as a wife, mother, and now a Lolly (grandmother). These experiences have deeply influenced my perspective on family, connection, and balance in everyday life. I also carry forward the values instilled in me by my parents—hard work, service to others, and compassion for those in need.
I have been working in private practice for over six years, offering therapy for children, teens, and adults in a supportive space focused on emotional wellness, resilience, and personal growth.
My Treatment Approach
I believe that every person is unique and deserves an individualized approach to therapy. No single method works for everyone, which is why I use an integrative, person-centered approach tailored to each client’s specific needs, strengths, and goals.
At the heart of my work is the belief that the therapeutic relationship matters deeply. Healing often begins when people feel genuinely seen, heard, accepted, and emotionally safe. I strive to create a nonjudgmental, compassionate environment where trust can grow and meaningful work can take place.
My approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and integrated with a functional health perspective, recognizing the connection between mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. I work collaboratively with clients to build practical coping skills, strengthen emotional resilience, improve self-awareness, and create lasting change.
Personally, I am a Christian and operate from a biblical worldview; however, my office is a welcoming and respectful space for individuals from all backgrounds, beliefs, and walks of life. Every person is treated with dignity, kindness, empathy, and respect. My role as a therapist is to meet you where you are and support you in moving toward where you want to be with understanding, patience, and respect.
Reaching out for support is a courageous first step, and it is an honor to walk alongside clients as they move toward healing, stability, and wholeness.
